Flying Branch

Includes Fighters, Transports, and Helicopters. Candidates must have Physics and Math at 10+2 and a degree in any discipline (60%+) or B.E/B.Tech.

Technical Branch

EKT stands for Engineering Knowledge Test. It is a 45-minute technical paper conducted immediately after the main AFCAT paper for those who opt for the Technical Branch. It tests core engineering concepts.

Yes, candidates in their final year/semester of graduation are eligible to apply, provided they do not have any backlog and produce the final degree at the time of joining the academy.

Yes. 3 marks are awarded for every correct answer, and 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. No marks are deducted for unattempted questions. Accuracy is key!

For the Flying Branch, the age limit is 20 to 24 years. For Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical), the age limit is 20 to 26 years.

Unlike the Civil Services, there is no limit on the number of attempts for AFCAT. You can apply as many times as you want as long as you meet the age and educational eligibility.
